Q: What premium services does Jobfox provide to help me in my job search?

We offer professional resume writing services to help you make a great first impression. We also offer a Jobfox Advantage Membership. One of the many benefits of membership is our Introduction Service. With this service, each time you apply, the Jobfox Intro team will contact the employer directly to present not only your resume, but your entire Jobfox profile. Membership also includes instant electronic alerts and a highlighted presentation to employers.
Q: What is the advantage of creating a suitability profile over searching?

When you use an online job board to search for a job, you select keywords and the job board shows you every job in its database with those terms in its description, regardless of whether it is in the profession you are looking for or not. This is extremely inefficient and time consuming, often causing you to miss the best jobs while having to weed through jobs that have no relevance at all to your career goals. In contrast, with our Mutual Suitability SystemTM, Jobfox applies your unique qualities such as skills, experience, education, salary, travel, commute and more; and matches them to the best jobs for your unique background, skills, and desires. This is by far the best way to find your dream job! Q: Do I need a resume?

Jobfox prompts all users to upload their resume. For some candidates this step is mandatory. Did you know that employers are 3.5 times more likely to look at your profile and accept an Introduction if they see you have a resume attached? It is highly recommended that you upload your resume.
Q: Why can't I search directly for jobs on Jobfox?

Because Jobfox is not an online job database, job seekers are asked to complete an easy suitability profile. Our Jobfox Mutual Suitability SystemTM allows us to match your individual traits and desires to the right jobs.
Q: How long does it take to fill out a suitability profile?
A:
This really depends on how many job experiences you've had, and the profession of those experiences. Some professions are relatively narrowly defined, while others can be extremely diverse, taking a little more time to profile. You can expect to spend approximately 10-20 minutes per job experience entered. This time investment will most likely save you a lot of time in the long run, as you'll be presented with the best jobs for your skills and experience, rather than forcing you to weed through scores of unrelated jobs.
Q: How do I keep my current employer from finding me on Jobfox?
A:
We understand that most people would prefer to keep their job search from their current employer. With Jobfox, you have the ability to set your profile to invisible for any company that you specify. When creating your profile, simply provide us with your company's name and e-mail domain (the portion of text after the @ symbol in the company email addresses). It's as easy as that - your profile is then invisible to that company.
Q: Why do you need my contact information?
A:
Jobfox asks for your contact information for several reasons. While an email address is necessary in order for Jobfox to identify you with your account, you may also opt to provide a telephone number, and/or Instant Message information to enable potential employers to reach you via those methods. Additionally, we can let you know when potential employers want to be introduced to you. You may also want to provide SMS information so that Jobfox may send text alerts to your mobile device. You may control which text messages and how many you receive through your messaging settings in your account preferences.
Q: What does the Suitability Rating mean?
A:
Using a 5-star scale, based on our Mutual Suitability SystemTM, Jobfox matches you to the best fitting jobs considering your skills, education, desires, experience, etc. The suitability rating indicates how strongly you and the job fit with one another. The higher the rating, the better the fit. Our suitability checklist allows you to compare your suitability profile to the requirements of each of your matched jobs. You will always know how and why you match up to every position.
Q: How am I updated about new job matches and Intro requests?
A:
You choose when you want Jobfox to notify you about your matches, based on the suitability rating. You can you can set up your preferences to notify you of new matches based on the star rating threshold you set. Jobfox can also be set to alert you when employers view your profile or view it favorably and/or when employers request an Intro. Jobfox supports alerts via email and SMS (text to a mobile device).
Q: What is the Jobfox Career Web Page?
A:
In addition to finding matched jobs, a big benefit from creating your suitability profile is the Jobfox Career Web Page (view a sample at www.Jobfox.com/people/sarahsmith). This service (part of our Advantage membership) gives you your own web page to highlight your skills, experience, work preferences, samples, links and even work styles. You can use this page to have a continuous online presence and promote yourself to potential employers. It is a great resource for building your personal brand.
