The Contract EHS Field Coordinator for the MCBU is a role ideally suited to a successful candidate with a proven track record within the EH&S discipline who seeks to leverage their experience within a dynamic, ethical, team-based, and rewarding culture. Responsibilities

• Commitment and Adherence to EnCana’s Constitution, Policies, Principles, Management System and Guidelines.

• Implement and champion EH&S guidelines and best practices throughout area of responsibilities (MCBU production & construction, assisting with drilling & completions, and midstream). • Participate in the development, review and delivery of EHS-related training initiatives.

• Promote and ensure compliance (identification, review, implementation, and tracking) with respect to the Hazard ID program, both employees and contractors.

• Conduct regularly scheduled safety and environmental inspections.

• Coordinate safety awards program for area of responsibilities.

• Investigate incidents and utilize the TapRoot investigation methodology to determine the root cause, implementing corrective actions to prevent a re-occurrence.

• Promote the lesson’s learned from incidents and near misses to prevent a reoccurrence.

• Participate in monthly safety meetings for EnCana personnel, providing meaningful and relevant performance data and content.

• Coordinate quarterly contractor safety meetings. Work with contractors to ensure compliance with EnCana guidelines.

• Coordinate the purchase and issue of safety equipment to all EnCana personnel.

• Coordinate safety equipment inspections for the field & office.

• Perform emergency response to EnCana incidents 24/7 when on-call, in all weather conditions.

• Facilitate risk assessments • Involvement in local Safety council(s) and industry associations.

• Assist Environmental Team with first response of spills and releases and to determine the cause.

• Project an overall attitude of the culture of EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. as being a leader in the oil and gas industry in its approach to the environment and safety.

• Become an integrated member of the Production and Construction Teams.

• Serve as a key resource for Safety as a Leader & Mentor.

• Seek out new and innovative solutions to improve safety performance.



Qualifications

• Accreditation in a Safety Program or working towards safety certification. A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is desired.

• 5+ years previous experience within EH&S; experience specific to oil & gas preferred.

• Previous experience and understanding of State & local regulations.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Demonstrated high personal motivation.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated proficiency building and maintaining positive professional relationships.

• Must be very detailed oriented.

• Currently eligible or able to obtain clearance to work in the United States.
