Q: I'm doing ok with my resume...why do I need your service?

A: If you are truly getting interviews to all the positions you want, you are probably fine. However, if you have found that you are not getting calls for certain jobs that are highly desirable to you, then it is time to consider having a professional resume writer design a better marketing tool that sells your real value. Q: Why can't I fix my resume myself?

Even though we work with resumes every day, we find it is often difficult to step outside of your own experience. A: Once you purchase our resume writing service, we provide questions to help the writer get a richer understanding of what you'd like to do. Q: Do you have statistics on how many people have found jobs using professionally written resumes?

A: The purpose of a resume is to get you an interview. The interview is then your time to sell yourself in person and land the job. We wish we heard back from more of our candidates after they found a position, but once they find a job and they don't need us anymore we usually don't hear anything. Q: Do you have to upload a resume to use Jobfox?

A: Jobfox prompts all users to upload their resume. It is not mandatory to have a resume to create a profile with Jobfox, but you'll definitely want to have one in the system before you apply to a job. Did you know that employers are 3.5 times more likely to look at your profile if they see you have a resume attached? It is highly recommended that you upload your resume.

Q: How can I update the resume I have provided to Jobfox?

A: From your Login page, can click directly on the Resume link in the top menu bar. To replace the resume currently in your account click 'upload a new version'. You will be prompted to browse to the current version of your resume and upload it. This will immediately update your resume in the system, so all Jobfox employers will now see your new resume.

Please note that if you have new skills and/or experience, you will also want to access your ResumePal and be sure to represent to skills and experience in using the questionnaire.

Q: What is a trackable resume and how does it work?

A: If you chose to upload your resume to Jobfox when you were creating your ResumePal, you will be able to access this document in the 'Your Resume' section of your account when you log into your account. Some job seekers distribute this electronic version of their resume to prospective employers they identify through job search efforts using Jobfox or other services/methods. When employers open this version of your resume, you'll get a text message alert (if you chose to set this up via your Jobfox Account Preferences) on your mobile device, and Jobfox will record this viewing in the 'Resume' section of your account. Jobfox tracks views of your resume by any employer who you distribute it to. Although Jobfox doesn't charge you for these services, be sure to check your mobile device service agreement for text messaging charges should you opt into our text alerts.

Q: What is the ideal format for resume upload to Jobfox?

A: Jobfox supports the upload of resumes in MS Word (.doc and .docx), Word Perfect (.wpd), Rich Text (.rtf) and Plain Text (.txt). The preferred format is the MS Word (.doc) format as almost every employer can read that format and it allows for nice visual presentation.
